We have a baby boy due at the beginning of January. My wife and I are struggling to agree on the name she has chosen. Initially I had told her that she can pick the name of our 1st born. So here’s the rundown… she wants to name our son after her father who passed away recently and I have to say this: he was a great man and have a lot of love & respect for him but he had one of the most horrific names I have ever heard “Beaufort”. Yes, I know I told her that she can pick the name of our 1st born, but Beaufort was never on the table until my father in law past away. Like I said my father in law was a great man but I cannot do that to my future son. He’s the one who’s gonna have to live with this name for the rest of his life an I can’t do that to him! Also, I come from a Spanish speaking family and you can already guess how that’s gonna go. Any who, what should I do?
