Ahbhhhhhhh ok… My parents have been married 25 years, I am their only child. My dad and mom both where raised super religious, and so was I. They also raised me to be super conservative and some what to be very homophobic/anti-LGBTQ or whatever. I was always taught that gay was bad in every shape and or form. It’s all I’ve known and I’ve lived my life with these ideas. Well long story short the other day when I came home both of my parents wanted to talk to me, and boy was I not ready for what was about to happen!! Saying my parents drop a bomb on me is and understatement, they tell me “ We are getting divorced” and your dad also has something else to say”, and out of no where he say “ I’m gay. I hope you don’t hate me”.. wtf. I don’t how to feel when the person saying this to me always made it a point and taught me that gay was wrong!!! How do I process this?!
