Hey guys good morning! So I recently moved in with my girlfriend. We wanted to get our own place and we finally did. She has a part time job and takes on line classes. I work full time installing floors, like carpet, tile, wood floor etc. We share chores, I do the handy man work stuff and she does the home keeping. So the traditional male/female rolls. The only problem is that my girl can’t cook! She can make simple things like sandwiches, top ramen, or already prepped meals that just require putting in the stove and baking and even that tastes unseasoned and sometimes under cooked. I don’t want to step on her toes but I prefer to do the cooking, but she says that she wants to do the cooking so she can learn. I tell her she can watch me or we can cook together but honestly it’s just way easier for me to do it. She says she loves to cook but that is NOT cooking. It’s a constant argument and at this point. She knows I liked home cooked meals and I rather just make my own, because her food isn’t that great but she doesn’t realize it. What should we do? Just make our own meals or what, because that also creates another issue, do we each have to buy our own groceries also? FYI I love my girlfriend, just hate her version of “cooking”.
