Hey guys this time it is me (Loui) who needs your help! You know we have a segment called “Pet of the Week” every Wednesday. Well Lil Griswald was the latest pet up for adoption, he melted my heart when he came in last week. He is a terrier mix. When I found out you can foster animals from the Santa Barbara Animal Shelter for a day I decided to take him home to give him a break from the shelter. Lil did I know my girl and I were gonna fall in love with the dog. So I decided to adopt him without her knowing as a Christmas gift. This quickly backfired because when she was walking the dog one of the apartment employees saw her and called her later on that day to tell her she couldn’t have the dog without a written approval. Mind you, I’m a dude who has never owned a pet so don’t know the proper protocol on how to get a pet, I thought you just went and got one and that is that. They said we couldn’t have a pet on the second floor (but we have actually seen other dogs living on the second floor). They also told us if we could take the dog to a family member but as you know I’m not from here and don’t have family nearby. They basically gave us the run around and kept saying we couldn’t keep the dog even though it’s a dog friendly apartment complex. Help what can we do? It will break our hearts having to take lil Grizwald back to the shelter, not to mention my girl who was super excited to get him as a Christmas gift.
