Hey guys so I have a stepdaughter that is 14. The other day I found cigarettes in her jacket. I actually was taking her jacket to her room when they fell out. As I picked them up from the ground my stepdaughter walks in and sees that I am holding them. I gave them back to her and I walked out of her room. Later that night you could tell she was nervous at dinner because she thought I might of told my wife. I actually didn’t tell her mom because I am hoping to build a better relationship with her. I know trust goes a long way and I know if my wife finds out I did not tell her she is going to be upset at me. I feel like I am stuck in the middle and don’t know what I should do?
