Good morning guys! So our family’s situation is almost identical to this story we heard about in the news. The only differences is that my husband had gotten our son his 1st pet, a Chihuahua that we got right before thanksgiving. We had him for not even a week when it got out of the yard and ran away. The other day we saw OUR dog at a neighbor’s house, my husband tried talking to him and he refused to give us our dog. Even after we showed him a picture & explained the situation, he was very rude & said it was his & to not bother him again. What an awful human! I told my husband to let it go & he  just can’t. What can we legally do? Help!

(original news story)

Back in April, a woman in San Diego  and her family got themselves a cat.  It was a Siamese cat, and they named him Ghost.  But in September, Ghost disappeared.

The family put up posters and searched for Ghost but couldn’t find him.  Then, earlier this week, a friend of theirs spotted Ghost . . . in the window of a home around the corner.

The woman went to that neighbor’s house to ask for the cat back . . . but the neighbor said NO.  Quote, “He’s like, ‘Oh, that cat came here like months ago and we’re super attached to him and we’re not going to give him back.'”

So The woman called the cops.  But they say because Ghost wasn’t taken from her house, this was a civil property issue and not a criminal case.

Now the woman is using Nextdoor and trying to rally the rest of the neighborhood to SHAME the people into giving her cat back . . . but so far it hasn’t worked.

Quote, “They’re saying it’s theirs now and finders keepers.  It’s like we’re in elementary school or something.”
