Good morning guys so my boyfriend and I just moved in together in January. He has a 9 year old daughter & I have a 7 year old son, both are from our previous relationships. My boyfriend’s daughter lives full time with her mom in Oregon. She will be staying with us for 3 weeks. It’s exciting & frightening to have his daughter. It will be my 1st time meeting her. I want her to feel comfortable staying with us. Well I’m starting to realize how many rules her mom has! Her daughter doesn’t really eat sugar, has never had soda, she lives in a house without television and her mom does everything for her. She comes from a privileged family. I’m nervous because we drink soda, my son does chores, we watch tv and listen to secular music. Her mom already told my boyfriend about all these special requests. I’m nervous our kids will bump heads since they’ve been raised different. I want us to all bond but I don’t know how since she’s used to a life that’s different from ours. What can I do to make things go as smooth as possible… help!
