We watch our neighbor’s dog from time to time. We love the little mutt and our family enjoys his company but he’s getting on in years. My neighbor takes good care of him, but I wouldn’t say her life revolves around him or anything. She dropped him off Friday morning and will be gone for 2 weeks. Sunday morning when I got up he was on his bed but wasn’t breathing and was cold. I took him to the vet who said he just died of old age in his sleep. They took the body because we aren’t sure what she wants to do with it. Should I tell her now and maybe ruin her vacation? It’s not like she can do anything about it from 1,000 miles away but I don’t want her to be even more mad we didn’t tell her right away.
