Situation 805: “My brother sold my baseball cards and bought himself a car”

Before heading back to the other side of the country for college, I decided it would be nice to go back home for a week to catch up with the family. BIG MISTAKE. When I got home, I saw my high school graduate brother pull up in the $25K car he’d just bought. He said he’d been doing well with his summer job, and “paid cash” for it. It turns out, he raided my still intact bedroom closet, and cashed in on a rather impressive collection of baseball cards I’d put together as a hobby before school. My plan was to use that money to help with grad school, and my parents said they had no clue that’s where my bro’s money came from. I’m so pissed and am thinking about calling a lawyer, which my mom is completely against because it would “destroy the family.” Am I out of line? Wtf am I supposed to do then?  (email your situation to: listeners@957thebeatfm.com)
