What are the rules on re-gifting? For Christmas, I gave my girlfriend a gold necklace. It was special, too, because I feel like this girl’s a keeper…and the necklace? It belonged to my late mother. Last week, I noticed she wasn’t wearing it anymore, and I asked what happened to it. It turns out, she gave it to her sister as a birthday present…because her sis “just loved it.” I have a real freaking problem with this, and she just doesn’t get it because “if it were that important to you…why did you give it away?” I’m re-thinking everything now.
