Dear 95.7 The Beat,
Good morning. I don’t know what to do and I would like to know what you would do in my situation. So I’ve been engaged for 3 years. Unfortunately my fiancé got into some trouble and has been locked up for 2 years. He gets out this October! He got arrested along with 3 others for stealing from their job. Well I just found out that the engagement ring he gave me was one of the things he had stolen. It’s a $3,000 ring. I love it but part of me wants to return it, because I’m scared of getting into trouble. I spoke to him and he doesn’t want me to return it because he’s already paying for it with time & by me returning it would be dumb. He really is a caring man has never been in trouble with the law prior to this, and he knows that he let greed take over his judgment. I am not justifying what he did but at this point would it be dumb for me to return it? It’s not going to set him free sooner. What would you do?
