Although it got “mixed or average” review rating on Metacritic, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice did what a blockbuster is supposed to do — it opened in first place with a huge opening-weekend gross: more than $170 million, it flew to the biggest March opening ever and the sixth-biggest opening weekend of all time.
