Despite a record-breaking opening, Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice dropped in its second weekend. The superhero movie, that has been rocked by bad reviews, dropped nearly 70 percent to earn a lower-than-expected $52.4 million between Friday and Sunday. Still, it has earned $261.5 million domestically and $681.3 million worldwide in 10 days.
Zootopia is still going strong in its fifth weekend, taking in $20 million and bringing its total to $275.9 million.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 remained in third with $11.1 million
God’s Not Dead 2 opened in fourth with $8.1 million. That was followed closely by Miracles From Heaven, which made $7.6 million.
The weekend’s other new release, Meet the Blacks, opened in eight with $4 million.
