Future has fired BACK shost in his war of words and lawsuits with baby mama Ciara.Ciara sued him in January for $15-million in damages and $250,000 in lawyer’s fees. On Friday, Future turned the tables. His suit not only denies that a series of tweets he sent had damaged her reputation but claims that he is the injured party who deserves compensation.
Among the points in Future’s counter-suit are:
- She waited too long to sue him — the statute of limitations has expired.
- Her lawsuit generated far more publicity than his original tweets had and therefore intentionally damaged herself more than he had. She also had him served at the airport, right in front of the paparazzi.
- He denies that his tweets were false, defamatory or malicious and says his references to their son was made because he felt he should be able to see the boy more often.
- He says that Ciara’s career is in decline, that her last album was a flop, she’s stopped winning awards and did not play a role in his own success. Instead, he claims she’s used his popularity and that of fiancé Russell Wilson to generate publicity for herself.
- He wants her to stop making false statements about him, asks that she be ordered to pay his legal fees and unspecified punitive damages and that all her claims against him to be thrown out.
Ciara has yet to respond to Future’s allegations. Her recent tweets have been about co-hosting the Billboard Music Awards with Ludacris on May 22nd and doing her first cover for Essence.
