RAGING AGAINST THE RENT
I moved back in with my mom a few months ago after I lost my job and could no longer afford my place.
I finally got a part-time job, which is a step in the right direction, but now that I’m technically employed, my mom wants me to start paying rent.
I told her I’ll never be able to get back on my feet if I’m giving her money from my no-benefits, 20-hour-a-week gig, but she says it’s only fair.
Mom also said that if I don’t start contributing, I’m going to have to find somewhere else to live!
How does she expect me to get my life together if I’m not allowed to save money? Is anyone else going through this? How should I handle it?
