My situation is that I have two ex-girlfriends aka baby mamas: I have 2 kids one with each. I consider myself to be a good dad even though we are not together any more. I still spend a lot of time with my 2 sons, and I’ve never missed child support payments. I also attend all their school functions and I’m involved in every way possible with both of ’em. My relationship with my 2nd ex is cool, but not with my 1st! I’ve recently begun a new relationship with someone who has a young son. I am really happy and I treat the little boy like I do with my own kids. She also treats my 2 sons really well. I completely love her and her son, and I think I’m finally content. She’s met my kids although we have not yet stated to them that we are dating.
My 2nd ex is happy for me, but my 1st ex, dammmmmn!… She has now banned me from going anywhere with my girlfriend when I have our son with me. It has meant we have missed family events and my girlfriend doesn’t get to bond with my 1st son. If I try to stand up to my 1st ex she becomes abusive and brings up our break-up, which was more than seven years ago!! I don’t know what to do. If I put my new girlfriend first I get accused of neglect; if I play nice with my 1st ex she takes advantage. Has anybody ever gone through this??? Why should I pay for her misery and jealousy that she claims that I’ve caused? It’s been 7 years!!!!!!!!!! She needs to move on, let’s worry about our son not my relationship.
