Emmerson is a happy-go-lucky tri pod with a huge heart and goofy demeanor. This 2 year old has the face of a puppy with curious ears and adoring eyes. Emmerson makes friends with everyone he meets including dogs of all sizes. He has also done well with the cats he has met. Emmerson came to the Santa Maria Animal Center with an old injury to his hind leg. Diagnostics revealed that his leg was too damaged to be surgically repaired successfully; the only option was to remove his injured leg. Emmerson has thrived now that the pain is gone and he is ready for the next chapter. He loves adventures and even with three legs he can keep up with the best of them. Emmerson is what we like to call a “turn-key” dog. He could use a little training to polish his skills (think interior decorating) but he is eager to please and we are confident he will be successful in a home that allows him to be a part of the family.
