My boyfriend of 4 years is ridiculously lazy. He wakes up later than noon every single day, and doesn’t have a job. He hasn’t been able to hold a job longer than a couple months. He lives with his parents rent-free and they seem to have no problem with him doing nothing.Any money he gets he spends on weed. I love smoking weed too, but I have a job that I work hard for and I know how much weed is.I’m really struggling to motivate him to get up and find a job. It’s almost impossible when he has no reason to. His parents don’t give a care that he’s 25 and has been unemployed for over 8 months. He also has no higher education. He dropped out of school when he was 16, and basically hasn’t done anything since then. One because he come from a very wealthy family and he is the only child and is the sole heir of there wealth…. I realize he’s not right for me, but I do love him and want to help him. He’s depressed and used to self-harm, and I want to make sure he doesn’t get back into that habit. Since his parents turn a blind eye to his lazy habits and most of his friends are exactly the same as him, I feel like I’m the only one who can help…..most of my friends and family say leave him let him drown in his own stuff…. In my head I know the potential is there for both of us to have a great relationship and life if he can get it together…..can somebody like this be helped???
