Pet of the Week: Zeus!

This might be a little forward, but how many tennis balls can you fit in your mouth? My name is Zeus and I can fit two with no problems and three if I try really hard!  My friends at the shelter call me a big goofball.  I am two years old and love to play.  I also love to snuggle and enjoy kisses.  You see because of my energy level and the fact that I am a Pit Bull, I have had to call the Santa Maria Animal Center home since February.  Lucky for me some of the staff and the volunteers I have met take me on cool trips.  I love going hiking but have this intense desire to chase lizards, squirrels, and other small wildlife so I need to be kept on leash.  Here at the shelter I pull on the leash but that is only because I am SO excited to get out.  Once out of my kennel and after I have had the opportunity to relieve myself, I am much easier to walk.  That should not be a problem with my very own bathroom at home!  I have also met a lot of new canine friends at the shelter and learned what I like and what really bothers me, most of my canine friends I really like.  I am looking for a home that is willing to include me in their family activities. I would love occasional hikes; the people around here say we have beautiful trails. I would enjoy trips to the beach, playing ball in the backyard, and even visits to your favorite local attractions.  I ride like a champ in the car and promise I will be the best co-pilot you have ever ridden with.  Do you think we could be friends?  I am temporarily residing at the Santa Maria Animal Center and although they have taught me a lot of things, like my address (548 W. Foster Rd in Santa Maria), I want nothing more than to learn from and love on YOU!
