I will start by saying this I was married 10 years ago and now divorced for 4 years now I will admit I was not the greatest husband in a few different ways and the final straw was I cheated on my ex-wife. During our marriage we had two boys 6 and 8 who I love with all my heart, after my divorce I have been there for them in every way you can imagine never missed child support, school events, sports, birthdays, and so on. Anyways here is my situation so I have moved on and met a great woman who understand me and my mistakes I made in the past, I have learned and become a different person from everything that’s happened. So me and this new girl have a great relationship and I want to bring my kids around her because I feel this is going long term. I want to be able to do thing with my kids and my new girl, but my ex wife is not really on board with that. She doesn’t want our kids around my new girl although I have expressed that she’s not some random chick, my new girlfriend actually wants to get to know my kids. I have tried to arrange for the 2 to meet and my ex hasn’t agreed to it. I want her to move on and be happy with someone. I feel she doesn’t want me to be happy since I have moved on and the kids shouldn’t be hurting because she feels still feels some type of resentment or whatever from my past. Why are women like this?
