I have a situation for you!! So I am a high school graduate, and I am moving to Fresno for school. I got into Fresno State and I am super stoked! My parents aren’t rich and are doing what they can to be able to put me through college. Ideally I would have my very own apartment with out roommates. I have an issue with personal space. I don’t trust people and I like my privacy and alone time. Well like I said my parents don’t have that kind of money. So I am gonna be staying in the dorms. That is the only thing I am really dreading. Everything I’m excited for: Starting school, meeting new people, living in a new city, just all these cool new experiences. So the dorm I got I was lucky enough to have gotten. They were all taken and by luck someone dropped and I was 1st on the waiting list! I went to Fresno to check out the city and I got to meet the person who I will be bunking with. I cannot stand her!!! I already know we aren’t going to get along. We are so different. I am the type of person who likes to keep everything nice and neat. Well this chick is a slob! She’s been in that dorm since spring and I am the one moving into her territory so to speak. It stank like rotten food because there was take out trash in there. She seemed very territorial about where I can put my stuff. And she basically told me she was promiscuous. I don’t know what to do. My 1st semester is basically already paid for and I’m getting ready to make the move out there, but I know this living situation is going to drive me crazy. I’m afraid it’s going to affect my grades. I have no other option but to suck it up and when the opportunity opens up for a different living situation I’m ready to go! How should I approach my new roommate about all my issues I’m already having with her. I’m not trying to be best friends with this girl, but I at least want us to be able to coexist in the same living space while respecting each other. Help!!  (email your situation to: listeners@957thebeatmf.com)
