Good morning everyone! I don’t know how many dudes write in but I’ve been contemplating it for a minute. So I’m writing in because I am concerned for my best friend. We are both in our late 20’s. Me and this dude have been really good friends since 3rd or 4th grade. We played sports together all the way up till high school. After high school we still maintained our friendship. We would go out on the weekends and hook up with all the cute girls. No joke my dude always had game. He knows how to talk to girls and make them laugh. He’s not a bad looking guy, but lately things have changed. I have noticed him different. About 3 years ago he started gaining some weight, more and more each year. It’s got to the point where he no longer wants to go out and have fun with me and the rest of the guys. He always makes excuses for not coming out. He says he’s  busy, he’s too tired, he doesn’t have money or whatever. That never stopped him before! He didn’t even go to my brother’s wedding. He just stays home & drinks. I think it’s because he’s gained so much weight that his confidence has dropped. I tried to invite him out to hit the gym with me or go hiking but he just throws excuses at me. I really want to help him gain his confidence back and become healthier, because at the rate he’s going it could bring on a lot of complications. He’s missing out on all of these fun trips and memories me and the rest of the guys are experiencing. I know it gets to him when he sees pictures of us having fun, but I just don’t know how else to help him get out of this funk! Does anyone have any advise? I appreciate it, thank you!
