Situation 805: “I don’t want people over for Easter”

Good morning guys I am in a tough situation. Easter is this Sunday. In the past we have had family over out our house to celebrate. It’s tradition to have it at our house. Last year we did have family over and I ended up getting sick with Covid. To be honest we were non-believer until it hit home. We had a big family get together despite the warnings. One of our guests was infected and showed no symptoms and I was one of 3 people that got sick. The other 2 were very mild. I was sick for 3 weeks and at one point I felt that my days were counted. Ever since then we have been very cautious about everything. I regret not listening to the medical professionals. Well now that Easter is just around the corner our family wants to have a get together at our house again this year. My husband is on the fence with this and I am totally against it. I do not want anyone else to go through what I did. I don’t understand how our family doesn’t get it. I was in shock when they said they can wait to see us Sunday. They keep saying it’s fine and I already had the virus so I have nothing to worry about. Bottom line I want no one coming over for Easter. This virus is very real and unfortunately I had to learn the hard way and I am grateful I made it but I have guilt because I know people who didn’t make it. How do I make our out of town family AND MY HUSBAND understand that we still need to take this virus serious.  (email your situation to listners@957thebeatfm.com)
