Good morning guys I’m a really big fan of your show and so excited to email you this morning. I’m having a big issue with my roommate and need a little advice. So I recently moved out on my own and found my roommate through my cousin who works with the woman I’m now living with. We hit it off when we met and I couldn’t wait to move in to her place. Her old roommate just moved out so it worked out perfectly. One thing I never thought of was the cooking situation. I cook a little but my new roommate cooks a lot and most of the food she cooks is Middle Eastern, which is what her heritage is. The food I’m sure taste great but it smells so awful when she’s cooking it. The entire apartment stinks up and I have to open my bedroom window.The thing is that to her it smells great, but all of my clothes are getting saturated with the smell and when I go out the first thing my friends say is “Your clothes stink.” I’m now spraying Febreeze all over my clothes and letting them air out before going out to socialize. Is there any way that’s a good way to ask her to open the windows when she cooks that won’t sound insulting?
