Hi Danger and Loui! My BF and I have been together for three years and have lived together for about a year. For a while, I imagined that we would get married someday, but lately I’ve been feeling like this isn’t going to work out. A couple of incidents have led me to this conclusion. One is that my parents offered to let me buy their house for a really good price and then rent them back the basement so they can travel when they retire and have a home to return to. When I told my BF about this, he lost his mind and said there was no way he would ever live with my parents. I was hurt because he made it sound like the decision was only his to make, like we’re not equal partners in this relationship. The other thing is that he makes these totally misogynistic jokes. I used to think it was cute, but now I’m starting to think on some level he really believes that. Should I break up with him or try and work it out first?
