So last month, my boss came to me and said he’d received a complaint about me doing drugs and that I needed to submit to a drug test. I objected but since I had nothing to hide, I went ahead with the test, which turned out negative as I knew it would. Then a couple of weeks ago, one of my coworker’s personal laptop went missing and my boss received a tip that I’d been seen in her office. Of course, I denied having anything to do with it, but found her laptop in the filing cabinet in my cubicle later that day. It looked super suspicious that I happened to find her laptop and I told my boss that I think someone is out to get me, which just makes me look guilty or paranoid. I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve this, but I’m afraid it’s going to escalate. What should I do?
