About a year ago, my best friend was in a tough spot financially, and I lent him a significant amount of money to help him out. He promised to pay me back in a few months, but it’s been over a year now, and he hasn’t mentioned it since. Every time I think about bringing it up, I worry it might ruin our friendship.
