THE VOICE SINGER CHRISTINE GRIMMIE’S MURDERER ID’D

Christina Grimmie, a singer who finished in the Top 3 on The Voice two years ago, was shot to death in Orlando, Florida after a performance there Friday night. Her suspected killer,  27-year-old Florida man named Kevin Loibl, was tackled by her brother but still managed to kill himself. Grimmie, 22, was on tour and had performed a theater show in Orlando. She was meeting fans inside the venue when she was shot. The motive for the attack has not been established, but authorities are investigating the possibility that Loibl was a deranged fan. Police reported that the shooter was carrying two handguns, loaded magazines and a hunting knife. Grimmie, a New Jersey native, launched her career on YouTube. She auditioned for The Voice by singing Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.” With a mini-album and several singles on iTunes, she is currently the store’s top-trending search. A GoFundMe page to support her family has already raised more than $150,000.
