Dear Miss Danger and Dj Ewrek I hope you’re well. Sooo, I just got engaged last month wooohoo!… and I’m so excited about the new chapter in my life! There is only one thing, it’s nothing too major, but I really don’t like my engagement ring. I accepted the proposal, I said YES, but informed my fiance two days later that I would honestly preferred a round, or pear cut diamond as opposed to the square one I got. He got all butt hurt and flipped out and called me ungrateful. I told him I am not asking for a bigger size or anything, I just want a different shape. I know people are going to say I am ungrateful but I just don’t like it! You’re supposed to like your engagement ring right it’s something that you will have on your hand forever ideally. Plus if he’s spending all this money on it it should be something that I like, I’m the one who’s going to be wearing it on MY hand! The symbolic meaning is the same no matter what but visually, I just have a different taste. My question is what else can I do to help him understand it’s nothing personal, I just want a different shape?
