Hey guys. First I want to say I listen to the show all the time! You guys always make me laugh on the way to work. I’m really scared to write in but I guess this might be the first step to help me with my situation. My parents are more of the traditional type and I’m scared to tell them my truth. My mom has always envisioned me with kids marrying a nice guy and having the white picket fence house. She always says to me things about when I give her grandchildren she’s gonna do this and do that with them and it always makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.
I honestly don’t even know if I want kids. Also I started dating someone and it seems like its getting serious the problem is that it’s not traditional because I am a 24 year old woman and I am attracted to women, yes I am gay.
I really want to be able to be open about my relationship but I haven’t come out to my parents yet. I am very nervous about the whole thing and a bit scared. I really don’t know how to break this to my parents and don’t know how they are gonna take it. Is there any advice from people that have been in this similar situation? What is the best way to come out to my parents?
