Good morning everyone. So my husband would always insist on letting our 7 year old daughter spend the night at his sister’s house. She has 2 daughters about the same age as ours. I don’t really like letting our daughter spend the night at anyone’s house because I have trust issues with the way other adults parent their kids. Well I gave in after my sister in law approached us and asked if our daughter can stay for a sleep over. It was a big mistake! My husband went to pick up our daughter the next morning and I was beyond pissed!! My 2 nieces cut my daughters hair. There was no consequences for what they did. I spoke to my sister in law and she said it’s just hair and it will grow back, besides they’re just kids. I don’t understand why we weren’t contacted after this happened. We have family pictures scheduled for this Saturday and since we can’t take them I’ve had to cancel and reschedule. There is a reschedule fee and I think it’s only right that my sister in law takes responsibility and pays the fee. She said she doesn’t have money right now, and the best she can do is lend her a hat. She has told my husband that she doesn’t understand why I am mad. I don’t want to see, talk or associate myself with her. She says I’m overreacting and I need to let it go. At this point I am done with her and thinking about not inviting her over for Thanksgiving. What would you do?
